One where self-directed, empowered employees have our trust and full support to realize their potential as they strive to make a bigger and better impact on their communities and careers every day.General Description:The Site Manager sets the culture and leads the operational team in a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible manner, aligned with the corporate vision, mission and values. The role is responsible for all aspects of running a successful business including health and safety, regulatory compliance, sales, operations, finance (including capital planning), human resources and support services. The Site Manager will report to the District Manager and collaborate on targets, objectives, and safety measures. As a Site Manager, the minimum responsibilities are:Fostering an environment that promotes the vision and culture of the organizationLeading the safety culture, specifically aiding in the development and delivery of programs and initiatives to personnel and enforcing safety policiesManaging operations, administrative and regulatory staff including conducting annual reviews, competency assessment, skill development, performance management, etc.Developing and enforcing standard operating procedures, providing training and monitoring staff for complianceEnsuring compliance with all government and environmental regulatory standardsEnsuring excellent customer service standards in coordination with Field Sales teamDevelop and implement procedures and systems for employees to operate in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner. Full P&L responsibility - Budget development, active revenue and cost forecasting/tracking.Develop relationships and liaise with key partners in municipal government e.g., mayor, waste division. Understand landscape, deal with emerging issues and address environmental and waste concerns. What We Need From You:Post-secondary degree, preferably in business or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.A valid Class 5 driver’s licenseA minimum of 5 years’ experience in solid waste collection/waste hauling operationsA minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience in a management or supervisory positionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient with Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirementsWhat You’ll Get From Us:Competitive Wages ($105, 000 - $115,000 plus bonus and equity)Retirement Plan with company match; let us help you save for your futureBenefits; Medical, Dental, VisionPerks, perks, perks!
