About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an Analyst in Commercial Banking Specialized Industries - Healthcare to work in partnerships with deal teams that provides research, analysis, and underwriting to prepare recommendations to extend credit and monitor existing client relationships. Portfolio consists of corporate (primarily leveraged) and sponsor-backed portfolio companies in the healthcare space. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.In this role, you will:Research complex financial and credit information for commercial businesses according to business unit standardsPlay an instrumental role in the deal process including due diligence, credit analysis, industry and business risk analysis, financial modeling and projections in support of decision-making activities of loan underwriting, origination and structuring for Middle Market and Mid-Corporate sized corporate or sponsor-backed portfolio companies in the healthcare spaceExercise independent judgement while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsGeneral responsibilities include working with risk, relationship managers, and credit to originate, monitor, and grow relationshipsSpecifically accountable for credit underwriting and origination, portfolio monitoring, renewals, and annual reviewsCollaborate and consult with internal and external stakeholders to understand credit needs and represent the bank in developing and maintaining client relationshipsIntegrate AI tools into underwriting and portfolio workflows to streamline research, accelerate production, and drive innovation and efficiencyAssist with special projects as assignedRequired Qualifications, US:2+ years of Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex dataAbility to perform in-depth commercial financial statement analysisKnowledge and understanding of debt and equity capital marketsUnderwriting experienceIntermediate Microsoft Office skills, including using Excel for financial analysis and projection modelingExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including ability to present to decision makers and customers in a professional and confident mannerA BS/BA degree or higherJob Expectations:Ability to travel up to 10% of the time This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship This position offers a hybrid work schedule Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education (experience, 2 years)
  • Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data (experience)
  • Ability to perform in-depth commercial financial statement analysis (experience)
  • Knowledge and understanding of debt and equity capital markets (experience)
  • Underwriting experience (experience)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including using Excel for financial analysis and projection modeling (experience)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including ability to present to decision makers and customers in a professional and confident manner (experience)
  • A BS/BA degree or higher (degree in higher)
