About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Mortgage Underwriting Associate. In this role, you will: Be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, approving, and underwriting routine individual consumer requests and products with few deviations and within company and industry guidelinesReview credit applications, credit bureau information, collateral valuation, tax returns, financial statements, or other supporting documentation to recommend or approve requests within deaccessioning authority levels by way of automated scoring system or traditional underwritingAssist with the calculations and preparation of reports for reviewRespond to customer inquiries and credit decisionsEnsure credit files are current, complete, and compliant with company standardsContact customers and partners to gather information to make appropriate decisions, and explain rationale behind credit decisionsReceive direction from leaders and exercise judgment while developing understanding of the Underwriting proceduresProvide information to team, managers and customers to related inquiries Required Qualifications: 6+ months of underwriting, loan processing, originations, or closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications: Experience in US residential mortgage processing and underwriting experience with experience in income calculation, credit and assets reviewWorking knowledge on Agency / Conventional loan Underwriting for primary residence (Purchase and Refinance) Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills ​Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to take initiative and drive for results with minimal supervisionAbility to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex fast paced environment Job Expectations: The candidate must be willing to work within US hours Posting End Date: 14 Oct 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.We Value Equal OpportunityWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
