About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer.In this role, you will:Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groupsLead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinkingTranslate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutionsProvide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutionsMaintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organizationStrategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadershipRequired Qualifications:7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Experience delivering complex enterprise wide information technology solutionsDesign consultation experience at the highest technical level: planning, integration, implementation, scalability, and problem definitionExperience applying new technologies to business needs in a technologically innovative, change-driven organizationAbility to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teamsExperience supporting senior level leaders/executives:A Masters degree or higher in computer science or financeStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsJob Expectations:Enterprise experience with one or more CI/CD implementation, configuration management, build, and orchestration tools: Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, uDeploy, GitHub, GitHub Action, Artifactory, Harness IO, Spinnaker, Terraform and Ansible.Experience in designing and developing cloud native enterprise applications using Java Stack.Experience with one or more security and code quality scanning tools: SonarQube, Fortify, BlackDuck, Checkmarx, Threadfix, XrayExperience with container solution implementations, preferably Kubernetes or DockerExperience with one or more Cloud platforms: AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or VMware Tanzu App Service (TAS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AzureEngineering: Covers jobs which design and perform engineering solutions on computer hardware, software, and networking tools to meet the organization's needs.Posting End Date: 3 Sep 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.We Value Equal OpportunityWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
