About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Institutional Investment Operations Specialist within our Trade Support team as a part of Corporate Investment Banking Operations. Responsibilities include overseeing trade matching, allocation, confirmation, affirmation, and operational risk management activities. The ideal candidate will leverage strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive process improvements, partner effectively with stakeholders, and ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and operational control requirements.In this role, you will:Serve as a subject matter expert for pre-settlement trade support activities, including trade matching, allocation, confirmation, affirmation, break mitigation, and trade/account reconciliationLead and investigate to resolve trade breaks and discrepancies in a timely mannerCollaborate with internal teams (Operations, Technology, Trade Capture, Sales & Trading) and external counterparties (Investment Managers, Custodians, Brokers, Application Support) to resolve complex issuesParticipate in lifecycle support for institutional trade initiatives and projectsIdentify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce riskExercise independent judgment while consulting with peers and managers to achieve operational goalsMaintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standardsAct as a point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear and professional communicationRequired Qualifications:4+ years of investment operations experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or educationDesired Qualifications:Proficient understanding of trade lifecycle processes and pre-settlement activitiesExperience with institutional trade processing systems (e.g. DTCC, CTM, ALERT, Broadridge, or similar platforms)Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to trade settlementAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvementsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environmentSound verbal and written communication skillsJob Expectations:Ability to work a hybrid scheduleWillingness to work on-site at stated location on the job openingAbility to work additional hours as neededThis position is not eligible for Visa sponsorshipPosting Location:550 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
