About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Trade Services SpecialistIn this role, you will:Provide critical operational support for Commercial and Standby Letters of Credit (LCs) within the Commercial Banking Middle Office. Responsibilities include reviewing and processing letters of credit, onboarding new clients, collaborating with key business partners such as Relationship Managers, Underwriters, and LC Processing teams, resolving client inquiries and issues, ensuring adherence to strong operational controls, and delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality service to both internal stakeholders and clients.Analyze the continued satisfaction and retention of existing clients and referral of international banking issuesTrain and coach daily work flow of less experienced staff, resolve routine issues and escalated problemsPerform issuing, advising and amending of letters of credit, negotiation of letters of credit documents, processing documentary and direct collections in accordance with Trade Services standardsPresent recommendations for identifying opportunities for growth through client referrals and making recommendations to changes in existing policies, practices and proceduresDevelop full working knowledge of complex letter of credit documentation, governing regulations, bank operations and credit riskCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsRequired Qualifications:2+ years of Trade Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Experience with Standby Letters of Credit including onboarding client, liaising with front office and the processing team.Experience with Documentary letters of Credit.Knowledge of UCP 600 and IPS98.Knowledge of Trade Finance products in general.Strong Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Outlook).A bachelor's degree in any field of study is preferred.Must be able to work at the location listed on the req.1525 W W T Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28262Posting End Date: 6 Sep 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.We Value Equal OpportunityWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
