Job Description

The role The Solution Architect is a client-facing consultant in Technical Services who turns complex client goals into secure, scalable solutions on Zeta's platforms. You lead discovery, design, estimation, build, and optimisation, balancing business outcomes, delivery effort, technical risk, and long-term maintainability. You work across marketing automation, loyalty, data, and integrations, supporting work that ranges from targeted enhancements to complex enterprise programmes. You remain hands-on throughout the delivery lifecycle, leveraging AI and automation where appropriate to improve efficiency, quality, and time to value. You contribute to pre-sales scoping and collaborate closely with delivery, product, and technical colleagues. What you'll do Lead client scoping sessions and workshops on their business and technical challenges, uncover the use cases that drive the design, and take it through to requirements and sign-off. Scope and estimate the work, design the most efficient solution to meet the client's goals on our platform, and advise on the fastest path to value. Own the end-to-end solution design for assigned clients across marketing automation, people-based and email marketing, loyalty, and marketing cloud/CDP, covering identity, data, APIs, orchestration, and measurement. Be their main technical contact and keep delivery on track against what was agreed. Consult on web and digital experiences, and design, deploy, and troubleshoot site tagging (i.e. GTM, Tealium, Adobe Launch, data layer, event/conversion tracking, identity sync, consent). Produce and maintain clear technical artefacts: solution designs, data mappings, integration specs, test plans, handover docs, and reusable assets, and guide testing through to issue resolution. Weigh trade-offs across performance, reliability, security, and time to value, and spot risks early with practical alternatives to resolve them. Support project managers on timelines by giving input on each part of the solution and where the effort sits. Get hands-on to build and test solutions, support the delivery team, and work with technical and data specialists where the design needs deeper input. Feed client needs that go beyond current product capability back to the Product team, and support pre-sales scoping and effort estimates with sales and technical colleagues. What you'll bring We care most about solutioning and client-facing strength: running a workshop, working out what a client really needs, and turning it into a clear, efficient solution. Strong problem-solving, an eye for detail, and broad MarTech awareness matter more than knowing every tool on day one. Excited about the role but don't tick every box below? Apply anyway. Solutioning & client-facing: you can run a workshop, draw out what a client really needs, shape it into a clear design, and hold your own in front of mid-market and enterprise clients. Consulting or delivery experience: 4+ years turning business needs into working technical solutions, in solution architecture, consulting, integration, or SaaS delivery. Requirements & documentation: comfortable capturing requirements and designs through BRDs, SSDs, FSDs, wireframes, workflows, diagrams, and mock-ups. A technical foundation: comfortable across data, APIs, and web, and able to reason through integrations and trade-offs, even where a platform is new to you. Communication & influence: you explain things clearly to both technical and executive audiences and guide clients to good decisions without needing polished decks. Hands-on and curious: happy to get into the build, automate the repetitive, and learn new platforms quickly. Marketing technology: marketing cloud or CDP, marketing automation, loyalty, or CRM platforms. Web & tagging: JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, XML/XSL, REST and SOAP APIs, and site tagging with tools like Google Tag Manager, Tealium, or Adobe Launch. Data: SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server, plus data modelling, ETL/ELT, JSON, and webhooks. Delivery method: familiarity with the software delivery lifecycle and how requirements, design, build, testing, and maintenance fit together. Identity & media: email identity, addressability, people-based marketing, or programmatic/DSP. Automation & AI: scripting in Python and using AI or LLM tools to speed up delivery and QA. Commercial awareness: a working understanding of the sales process and how solutioning supports it. Ways of working: comfortable working with local and remote teams across time zones; a second language is a plus. Education & certifications: a relevant technical or business qualification, or certifications in cloud, data, or delivery.
